Public Works Technician

Scenic Wheeler is an Oregon North Coast community of 400.   It is a full-service city with parks and public works (including water, streets, stormwater, etc.). Its City Council seeks an energetic Public Works Director with customer-service, communications and problem-solving skills.  He or she should possess a knack for teamwork, yet work well independently, and have experience working with municipal water, streets and parks.

Regional wastewater, fire and police services are provided by neighboring districts.

Compensation:  Salary $45,000 – $55,000 DOQ, plus excellent benefits. Staffing: Three FTE and one contracted employee.

Starting as a timber and fishing town, Wheeler has evolved into a community of charming, historic buildings on the edge of a beautiful bay.  It is a coastal refuge where people come to relax, refresh, and enjoy the scenic splendor of Oregon’s north coast.
